Synopsis: Gerald Cyrus is a photographer whose works depict urban street scenes, African American family life, and intimate scenes from jazz lounges and nightclubs. His work has been exhibited in several museums including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the New Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Smithsonian Anacostia Museum. His photographs are currently in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, and so much more. Gerald is currently a member of Kamoinge Inc., the esteemed African American photographer's collective.
